(Sorry this is LONG. Like a behind the stan story, my bad, I totally understand if you don’t read all of this)
It’s funny because I could not tell you the first time I heard Miguel’s music. It was probably mid 2010 before All I Want Is You (the album) came out, and it may have been on the radio or a music channel on TV I really can’t remember but I heard the beat drop to All I Want Is You and him singing and I was like um….who is THIS?!? Literally no one I knew, knew who he was. So I bought the single and I’m just a cool fan at this point with this one song. So the album comes out, and I’m like “should I get it? I only heard one song, I don’t know him like that (lol) but this song is so good. fuck it imma get it” Let the obsession begin.
When an artist can give you a complete album, it tells a story, one that you feel every single song, you don’t have to skip any tracks that is magical to me. So when an artist can do that I look into them, I’m on youtube watching every interview, googling and reading everything on him (THIS interview is one of my favorites) and when I see his story, he’s articulate, intelligent, his personality, he’s cool chill and funny and humble. When I can connect to how he feels in his music, and then also just like him as a person that’s special. Then there’s a certain satisfaction of just stumbling upon this gem of a person, no one told me “hey listen to Miguel he’s hot” I just heard him and I like what I like.
Anyway, I’m late to twitter (May 2011ish lol) I’m tweeting everybody how great Miguel’s cd is, they need to get it, I’m tweeting @migmoney every day, following a bunch of fan pages, so I’m nearing stan territory. But then…oh but then, Miguel tweets me two words “Thanks Val” after I tweeted how great his cd is…that was it *knocks over chair and flips table*. Made my twitter fan page, the rest is history.
I really can’t even go into that first concert and first time I met him, this is already an essay lol. But I was an amazing show (mind you I drove about 2 hours to get there), I was front row and got to interact with him a little bit, then after the show he came back out and met and took pictures with fans, he was every bit of everything I imagined, how he is in interviews IS WHO HE IS, I can’t say anything else but amazing. It only gets better every time I meet him. He didn’t know who I was that first time I met him, so you can only imagine how I felt the time when I met him and he knew who *I* was and was excited to see *me* what celebrity does that? And every time I always think he’ll forget what I look like or who I am, and he never does. So I just appreciate the genuine person he is and I support him, I know in the end the world will see it, and he’s going to win.

What happened to the other young lady who got kicked in the head?
Everyone keeps talking about a second girl getting kicked in the head but I personally did not see it, and I’ve watched the gif over and over. From the angle that’s shown *to me* his left foot lands on the stage without hitting the girl on that side, the right side clearly knocks Khyati and catches her head/arm between him and the stage. If anything the upper part of his thigh and back knocks the other girl backwards as he lands so it looks like he made contact with her head just because she moves backwards as he does, but he puts his hand down on that side to try and catch his fall and his hand is on his foot as he lands. If you look there is a girl standing next to the guy in the red hat (Khyati who gets trapped under his legs in the “leg drop”) the other girl we cant even see until he lands, I think her hands/arms got caught under his legs. If people are referring to a different girl that I don’t see, please let me know. However, if she did in fact get kicked in the head I’m sure they will handle that, but no one has come forward as being kicked as far as I know.
That’s false. Of course people will want to keep talking about what happen now and make jokes, whatever that’s fine, that’s the nature of the time we’re in and the internet. But that is not “all everybody’s ever gonna remember him for.” He’s going to keep it moving, he apologized, they will handle the situation accordingly whether that’s through a lawsuit/settlement whatever it may be, or whether the girl is perfectly fine how it is now. We don’t know, but it’s over and it can’t be taken back now. He’s performing with Mariah Carey on Good Morning America, he’s touring in Europe with Alicia Keys, he’s got new music coming out in July, he’s touring with Bruno Mars next year. There will be plenty more that he’ll be known for, and I hope all the new people who didn’t know him before the incident will be paying attention because they will only be kicking themselves for not knowing his music until now.
lol no you’re probably not alone
lmao!! girl bye
